Cycling
Jump onto your bike and pedal hard. The wind is blowing into your face and carrying to your nose the aromatic scent of freshly cut grass. It will take you one day to cycle around the Chiemsee. If it comes to it, however, you can take a short cut by using a regular service ship. For those cyclists who consider the tours around the lake to be too flat, the Chiemgau Alps offer a series of demanding mountain biking tours.
Maps and descriptions of biking tours can be obtained from the tourist offices. You can hire bikes in all places (bike from € 5,- per day) and many a host will offer you bikes for hire as well.

The lakeside path around Chiemsee
It will take you one day to cycle around lake Chiemsee. We recommend a few breaks to enjoy the great panoramic view in Gstadt, have a drink in the beachbar in Übersee or eat some fresh fish in Prien.
